Lessons from Steven Bartlett & raw journal entry

Eyooo friend!
So quick life update:
Still fired up from seeing Steven Bartlett live. Just go to these type of events it’s insanely inspiring and it attracts likeminded people.
Joined the the Sunday Journal Club. Great way to have a little forced reflection and planning moment.
Obsessed with Indonesian buffets and still sucking at surfing…
Couple of thoughts
I
Small acts of kindness make peoples day.
II
Journal entry from this week:
Only you are to blame for not being where you want to be.
Avoidance of discomfort, self-limiting beliefs and bad habits are holding you back.
Stop sabotaging yourself. Take responsibility for your life.
III
In business, stop putting off the work that actually needs to be done.
Too many people spend weeks building landing pages, tweaking logos, setting up fancy tools…
But that’s not the stuff that moves your business forward.
Talk to people. Sell. Deliver.
That’s it :)

Some bits of inspo
I
2 favorite bits from the Steven Bartlett show (send me a message if you want the full notes) :
Embarrassment is the key to entry
The concept of pushing paper walls.
A wall that looks immovable, until you push on it and realise it was never made of bricks in the first place.
We all put up “paper walls” around what we think is possible, rules about how things are meant to be done.
But the high achievers always ask: Why do we do it this way?
Couldn’t it be done better, or differently?
Pushing these paper walls is what the best in the game focus on.
II
Trust is not certainty. It’s surrender.
